First lady Michelle Obama is on her way to Chicago to tape an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Obama will talk with her friend, Oprah Winfrey, about a situation that is a large part of her mission, how America can help our military families. She will talk face-to-face with Winfrey about her beliefs and then the two will be joined by a military family to discuss what Americans can do to ease the burden on such families.
The episode, which will air on Thursday, will also feature NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw and reporter Bob Woodward. Tom Brokaw is the author of The Greatest Generation, which talks about World War II veterans. Bob Woodward, who served as a lieutenant in the Navy, is famous for helping expose the Watergate scandal.
